With every game comes with a team of guys who work around the clock, ensuring the game meets the production deadline with professionalism and also bringing content & updates for the community. It's good to let the kids know the names and the team that bring you solid games. How can we forget them? Let us meet the developers!
First up is Glen Schofield. He is the Executive producer, well, says it all. The man in charge of overseeing the entire project from start to finish. Story I guess, would be the most important for it is what drives the player.
Producer: Chuck Beaver. The man who will be assisting Glen Schofield in producing the game. From what we have seen from trailers and gameplay movies, all looks promising, but I believe they will be constantly improving it to bring us the best experience.
Creative director: Bret Robbins. Yes, the guy who decides how the graphics and the mood should be in the game and generating creative objectives through the course of the game. Being a horror & action packed game, it's common sense that things will get a little dark, spooky but I wonder how will this separates this from other horror games like F.E.A.R or DOOM. Well I guess we have to wait to find out.
Production designer: Ben Wanat. The man reponsible for the overall look and feel of the game. The kind of stuff like tables, doors, chairs, equipment you see in the game. In "Dead Space", it's based on a sci-fi outerspace science project gone wrong (in my view that is), so I would expect to see future science stuff all over, rusted hallways and pipes all over.
Well, the 4 main guys who is working hard on "Dead Space". Wish them all the best. Below is a short clip of the developers talking about the game direction and the great focus on the story. I would say it's an interesting short clip. Take a look!
Conclusion: From what we are looking at, the developers clearly wants 3 things.
- A good character driven story that slowly unfolds to you all about the aliens, how did those spaceships get there in the first place, what actually happen.
- An enriching horror experience for the player. Something like doom but crazier.
- Giving life and new perspective to sci-fi & horror genre games.
